The Coffee Yard Company Limited

The Coffee Yard Company Limited, established in August 2018, emerged in response to the pressing needs of local farmers grappling with post-harvest handling challenges. These challenges not only hindered their access to lucrative export markets but also diminished their household incomes. Motivated by a desire to address these obstacles, TCY, a women-led business, was created with a primary goal: to enhance market accessibility and income opportunities for stakeholders along the coffee value chain, particularly smallholder farmers.

 Specializing in high-quality natural and washed Arabica processing techniques, TCY currently serves a network of over 3500 registered farmers.

 To date, TCY has the capacity to process more than 2000 metric tons of coffee annually, producing specialty natural Arabica (65%) and fully washed Arabica (35%). Looking ahead, TCY is poised to expand its processing capacity, with plans to handle up to 5000 metric tons of cherry.

At its core, TCY was established with a singular focus: to address coffee quality concerns and facilitate entry into niche markets, thereby creating a sustainable pathway for the economic advancement of our stakeholders.
